Program Manager
The interview process was a complete waste of my time. It felt like they were just collecting resumes and had no real intention of hiring for this role. For other jobs, they'd list the maximum salary to attract applicants, but then offer at the low end of the pay scale, not even the middle. I won't be applying with them again to see if they're actually trying to fill a spot or just building a resume database. Total waste of time. Never again.

Insurance Verification Specialist
It was a behavior interview, they asked questions using the STAR method. Situation, Task, Actions, Results. They asked things like 'What is a day in the life?', 'How many accounts per day are you expected to do?', 'What systems do you utilize?', and 'Whats the turn around time?'

- Can you describe your typical daily responsibilities in this role?

Clinical Research Coordinator
First, there was a phone call to talk about the job and if I was interested. Then, the main interview was on Zoom with the director of the program I applied to, and two other supervisors. They asked standard psychological questions and about my past experience. After they reviewed everything, they gave me an offer. When I tried to negotiate the salary, they immediately and rudely said my values didn't align with theirs, even though they said I was exactly who they wanted during the interview and when they offered me the job. (I tried to negotiate a higher salary with options like more PTO and other incentives, nothing crazy, just a fair market average for the position, and I was met with disgust and turned down, possibly because of my gender or race/ethnicity or both, or because I dared to ask for fair pay).
- How would your past related work experience contribute to your ability in this role?
Clinical Assistant
I applied online and a month later an HR rep called me. She talked about the job, pay, and shifts. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview the following week. I dressed up, brought my documents, and showed up early. She started the interview early, went over the job again, and then showed me some case studies on her laptop. I took notes and asked questions. We then did a role-play of a situation I might encounter, which was fun and she said I handled it well. She immediately scheduled a second interview for a few days later. In the second interview, right after we shook hands, she told me I'd be given a test. She gave me the info, and I had about 30 minutes to complete it. It had around 20 questions about patient situations and actions to take, plus some short answers and general questions about why I want to work there. She came back, we scored it together (I got all but one right), and it was very informal. After the test, she asked some basic interview questions, which were easy after everything else. She said she liked what she heard and wanted to offer me the job, but first needed to check my references. This reference check took a few weeks because she couldn't reach them immediately, but she kept me updated. Because of this delay, I missed the first training class but was put in the next one. Everything worked out in the end.
- What makes you want to join our team?
- Do you have prior experience working with children?
- Can you elaborate on your approach to these case studies?
