The interview happened online. I talked with my supervisor and boss. They told me about the role and went over my past experience. They seemed to like that I had worked as a consultant before.

I did a phone screen first, and then they invited me to a zoom panel interview. The first interview was smooth. The second one also seemed to go well because I answered everything fully and transparently, and I felt like I really connected with everyone. They said I'd hear back in a week, but it took three times as long. I followed up three times for updates, and when I finally got a rejection, it was generic. I asked for feedback but never got any. It was really disappointing, especially for an HR role.

Behavioral Technical Other

First, I got a call to set up a 1:1 chat. It was pretty laid-back, like just talking to someone I knew, about my school stuff and my past jobs. After about 30-40 mins, I had to do this writing thing for an hour. It was open-ended, needed some thinking, but wasn't too hard. Then, after waiting about a week, they called me for another interview, this time with a group. Three senior engineers talked to me, asked standard interview questions, and dug into my work history. They also asked some behavioral questions, like 'tell me about a time when...', some about working with budgets and others about design, but nothing super technical.

Behavioral Other

I had an initial interview over the phone with an HR recruiter, and it was great. Then, my second round interview was a video call with two individuals. The first interviewer who joined the call yawned throughout the entire interview and was working on her second monitor, barely making eye contact with the monitor that the video call was on. The second interviewer joined 5 minutes late and had maybe 2 to 3 questions, seeming disinterested the entire time. I had a list of questions for them, one of them they actually giggled at before answering. Totally unprofessional.
