The interview was scheduled for a specific time but started about 10 minutes late, running for approximately 50 minutes. It was a panel interview where they asked about career goals, past work experience, how I manage multiple tasks, and if the commute was a problem. They also discussed my strengths and weaknesses in relation to a personality test I took. I followed up with the recruiter on Friday about the next steps and was told I'd get an update soon. The next morning, I received an automated email saying my resume didn't match the job description.

I applied online and was given a personality test. The first interview was a relaxed 30-minute phone chat with the Corporate Director of Marketing about the role and my background. About two weeks later, I had an in-person interview with the Corporate Director of Marketing and a local General Manager. The Corporate Director shared my personality test results, apologizing that they were presented as if I were male and that the company needed to update that. We discussed my results and the position in more detail. Then, he asked me several marketing-related questions. The interview lasted about an hour. The next step, if I were chosen, would be to meet the Vice President.

I was initially rejected before the interview due to my background, which I had disclosed. However, after I explained that it was over 6 years old, they reconsidered and scheduled an interview for the next day. They told me there would be a second interview within two weeks, but I never heard back. I emailed them, and they opened the emails but didn't reply. During the two weeks I was expecting the second interview, they hired three women.

This was an unbelievably frustrating process. The photography manager was unreliable, would wait weeks to schedule an appointment for weeks later, then reschedule appointments, show up late, and wasn't prepared to actually handle an interview. Then he'd say he needed to give other people the same runaround before deciding. The whole thing took MONTHS. I don't know how he's still employed; he must be related to someone.
