First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KemperLesnik.
Vice President Business Development
Interviewed through a recruiter. The questions felt quite junior for a role at this level. I didn't get much feedback about the process or a timeline. They didn't really let me ask any questions about the company or the role. It felt like they were just picking who they wanted rather than giving me a chance to see if it was a good fit for me.
- Can you describe a mid six-figure deal you've closed and the steps involved in making it happen?
Account Executive
Applied online, coordinator contacted me days later to schedule a phone interview. Noticed the post was 3 months old, a bit of a red flag, but I proceeded. On the interview day, the VP called me while I was on the bus to work. She sounded rushed and didn't seem to have much time. After about 10 minutes, she invited me to the office for an interview. I traveled 4 hours for it. Upon arrival, 2 out of 4 interviewers were late, and one left early. After the first part of the panel interview, the coordinator informed me the other two interviewers had an emergency and couldn't make it. She said they'd call with questions and then left, letting me show myself out. It was a really unprofessional and bad experience.
- Can you tell me about your PR experience?
Agency Coordinator
Applied, and then there was a pretty long wait, about a month or two, before hearing back about an interview. The actual interview was about 30-45 minutes long and I met with three people. They didn't ask too many questions, mainly just talking about my skills and seeing if I had any questions for them.
- Given your background is primarily in events, what makes you want to work on the agency side?
Intern
I had two interviews with the company and felt they went well. The interviewers were really nice. I never received an application update even with a follow-up email that was sent out.
- How can your past experiences be relevant to this role?
