Quality Manager
The interview process was pretty standard, though it did drag on a bit longer than I expected. The recruiters themselves were really good though! Behavioral questions are pretty much standard now. I was happy with how quickly things moved along.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
Senior Manager
The process was straightforward, starting with a recruiter call and then moving to the hiring manager. It didn't go any further though because they stopped communicating after the hiring manager interview. I didn't hear back after sending them an email.
- Can you describe your management style?
Quality Manager
First, I had a phone chat with HR. Then, I had a Teams interview with two senior quality folks. After that, I did an in-person interview with the leadership team, who would be my peers, and also with the COO. Finally, there was one more HR meeting over Teams.
- Can you describe how you would manage multiple priorities and concerns at the same time?
Manager
I applied online and heard back a few weeks later. We scheduled a phone screen, but they never called, and I waited 30 minutes past the start time. A week later, they emailed an apology for missing the call and asked to reschedule. The phone interview focused entirely on negative aspects of my past work and asked nothing about my accomplishments or projects. They asked these kinds of questions for every role on my resume, even ones over 10 years old. I was put off by the constant negativity, as there were no questions about successful projects, what I learned from them, or how my experience could benefit the company. After the call, I knew it wasn't a good fit, despite hearing good things about the company. The interview's negative focus made it hard to imagine working there.
- What would your previous manager say about your performance in prior roles, and what specific areas did they suggest you needed to improve upon?
- What was your most recent performance review rating, and what was the justification provided for it?
- Can you share your three biggest weaknesses, along with specific examples from your work experience illustrating these weaknesses?
