The interview questions felt very formulaic, almost as if they were generated by ChatGPT. The office itself was nice, but the interview panel seemed unengaged and lacked basic interviewing skills, making it feel less like a serious business and more like a lifestyle gig.

The interview was conducted over Zoom and felt easy, friendly, and straightforward. However, they didn't follow up or inform me about my status in the process, so I had to reach out twice to inquire. Eventually, they let me know they were no longer hiring for the position.

It was a really disorganized and unprofessional hiring process. I went through six interviews, one of which was with Kelly's husband. I also had a separate meeting about a confidential project that Kelly initially asked me to work on right away, but then she changed her mind and gave me a different test project that seemed like a way to stall. During the sixth interview, I was asked really basic and odd questions about my resume, which should have been covered in the initial screening. Kelly didn't seem to grasp the role of an editorial director or understand the different meanings of 'editorial' in a magazine context. This whole experience made me feel like working there would be unpleasant, with too much micromanagement, unclear job duties, and a poor work-life balance.
