Consultant Paralegal
I was directly reached out to by my current office manager (OM) about the role. I hadn't contacted the company before, but they found me on Monster and called. After a quick, basic Q&A with the OM on Tuesday, I was scheduled for an in-person interview for Thursday. The interview was with the OM and the department manager (DM), whom I hadn't met before (I didn't know the DM would be there). The OM brought me from the waiting room, introduced themselves and the DM. The DM led most of the interview in a small conference room, asking mostly standard, easy questions and a few non-standard but not too difficult ones. It felt pretty conversational, not too formal. Towards the end, I got to talk freely about myself. It was straightforward; they said if I did well on the personality tests, I'd get an offer within 24 hours of finishing them.
- Can you describe a past phone call with a client or potential client, how it went, and your personal feelings about it?
- Please share your customer service experiences and your preferred methods for interacting with clients or potential clients.
Attorney
I saw an ad on craigslist and applied. They called me for an interview about a week after I submitted my application. First, I met with someone who introduced themselves as a "Project Manager." They gave me an overview of the role and asked me some interview questions. After that, I went back to the lobby to wait for the supervising attorney for the department. This attorney then described the job and the department, and asked me general questions about myself.
- Describe your approach to delivering bad news.
Paralegal
I sent in my resume after seeing a Craigslist ad. HR got back to me in like two days and we set up an interview for that same week. They gave me the job offer the same day as the interview. Then I had orientation the following week and started working the day after that. So, from resume to orientation, it was about 7 days.
- Can you share a weakness you have?
Receptionist
The interview was amazing. It looked like a professional place to work, everyone was dressed up and smiley. They took me into this room with an amazing view of the whole city. The questions were inclined to show contrast and self confidence.
- Why do you feel you are suitable for this role?
- How do you stand out from other candidates?
- Can you tell me about your weaknesses?
