File Clerk
Typical interview process for the Rancho Cordova office. A red flag during the second interview was when the interviewer explicitly stated, 'Given your qualifications, I hope you wouldn't be bored in this position. This is entry level.' I know the job I applied for, and I don't need to be reminded or talked down to about my qualifications. If they thought I was overqualified, why contact me? Did they not review my resume before the interview? Near the end, they mentioned someone would contact me within the week, whether they were interested or not. It's been about a month since the interview with no word. I followed up by email and received a curt, informal automated rejection. I get that it's an employer's market now, but that's no excuse to ghost me after the interview and belittle me during it.
- How do you maintain organization?
Sales Progressor
It was just a chat about my past experience and what I'm looking to achieve in the future. They asked what my old role entailed and why I left. They also asked about my knowledge of the areas and why I think I'll suit the role.
- Tell me about your most recent job.
- Can you describe your past experience?
- What are your future career aspirations?
Meeting and Event Specialist
Applied via company website posting. Got contacted by the internal recruiter about two weeks later for a prescreen phone chat. Then scheduled an interview with the hiring manager for the next week. About two weeks after that, I interviewed with the VP of marketing and the Sr. VP. The internal recruiter handles HR, and there was a long wait time between the first contact and the prescreen. The prescreen was supposed to happen at a specific time, but they called about 2 hours late. If you don't get the job, HR calls with a standard but polite message. I think the hiring manager should be the one to deliver that news, especially if you're a finalist.
- Will you have to complete an Omnia Test, where Omnia provides the company with extra questions tailored to you?
Administrative Assistant
A recruiter from an agency reached out on Linkedin. Even though I was initially hesitant about working for an insurance company, Keenan was different; very honest and ethical. I had two formal interview dates where I spoke with multiple people, followed by a lunch with the department managers. They took their time, but I really felt they wanted to ensure it was a good match for everyone involved.
- Did you complete an online personality assessment, and what was your impression of it?
