It was pretty relaxed. They did it right there at the branch, which was simpler than the usual corporate office interviews. It was just a casual sit-down at a desk and the questions weren't too varied.

It started with a screening call from HR, then the next week I had a Zoom meeting with the hiring manager. About two weeks after that, I traveled to their HQ in NJ for an in-person interview where I met with the hiring manager again and a lead team member. The interview was scheduled for 60 minutes but we ended up talking for about 100 minutes. I got a lot of details about the specific role, and they really dug into my resume during each interview. The manager seemed focused on understanding my grasp of the industry, and a lot of questions were tailored to my personal experiences. It was a smooth process with good communication overall. Even though I didn't get the job, I liked the interview experience. They mentioned it was a junior level role, but in this field, it's common for candidates to be flexible with their skills. The questions mostly focused on the job description, relating my background to the role, and my education, rather than extracurriculars.

The interview felt relaxed and pretty standard. They asked the usual interview questions. If you prep for typical interview questions, you should be all set. Make sure you can talk about yourself and connect it to your skills and what you want to do in your career.

My first interview was with HR and it went well. We scheduled another interview for the next day where I expected to see the hiring manager, HR, and another manager on Zoom. However, there were 5 people on the call and none of them had their cameras on. The whole interview was awkward and consisted of the usual 'tell me about a time when...' or 'how would you deal with...' questions. I wasn't offered the job, so I'd avoid it if you don't enjoy talking to half the management team for a branch-level role.
