The interviewer called me by phone, but she mistook my background as being with Sysco instead of Cisco Systems. Because of this mix-up, the interview wasn't really appropriate. She was nice though and asked me about my experience in the food industry, which is when we realized we were talking about two different companies.

I first got an email for a phone interview that lasted about an hour, where I spoke with a senior person from Portugal. This was supposed to lead to a face-to-face interview in Barcelona, but after waiting a while without hearing back, I followed up. They explained there was an internal issue, and then I had a somewhat tricky face-to-face interview where they tested my knowledge of chemical engineering process simulation, specifically for gasoline production. They mentioned my application was still being considered and that a third interview with someone from the US would follow. I asked for feedback afterwards but haven't received any yet.

The interview process involved meeting with managers and consultants. Although there was some technical content, my prior experience as a client and existing relationships with KBC consultants made the process much smoother. The interview took place in Houston, Texas, at KBC's offices in the Energy Corridor. HR assisted with travel arrangements, noting the many hotels nearby. KBC has a relatively flat organization, so I interviewed with three managers and consultants, plus an HR manager. I believe HR then conducted a background check and extended an offer.

So basically there was this interview day where they flew all of us out to Houston. We had to do a group presentation and then had individual interviews. I was interviewing for two intern roles: Software Support and Software R&D. The interviewers were pretty chill. They asked about my technical background and some behavioral stuff. For the R&D role specifically, they showed me some code and wanted me to explain what it did. Sadly, the offer got pulled because of COVID-19.
