Marketing Manager
There was a bit of back and forth with HR to reschedule some interviews that a senior leader wanted to move around, but after that, the rest of the process was standard. The interviews had a focus on data and skills, and diversity, equity, and inclusion were definitely considered throughout.
- Tell me about your approach to creativity and organization.
Campaign Manager
I was referred to Kayak and connected directly with the hiring manager. After sharing my CV and cover letter, we had a 40-minute phone call discussing my background and career goals. Subsequently, I was invited to the office for a series of meetings with various teams, which lasted the entire morning (about 3.5 hours). This was followed by another interview with the team lead, where I was given a laptop and tested on Excel formulas (concatenate, vlookup, trim) and a PowerPoint presentation related to DFP. A few days later, I received a job offer and started a few weeks after.
- Tell me about your experience.
- Are you proficient with Excel's vlookup and trim functions?
- What motivates your interest in joining Kayak?
Email Marketing Manager
I had a great experience with the interviewers and the actual interviews. However, after the second round, I received no feedback, replies, or even a rejection. It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard anything. I've reached out to two different internal recruiters, but no response. It's a shame because it feels like I wasted a lot of time and wasn't even told they were moving on with other candidates. Kayak, you can do better.
- Can you give a walkthrough of your experience?
- The role was explained more in depth.
