First, we check your application and resume. You can apply through job portals, by referral, or directly on our website. We'll look at your resume to see if your qualifications, experience, and skills match what we're looking for. Then, there's an initial screening call, either phone or video, that lasts about 15-30 minutes. This is usually with a recruiter or HR person. They just want to make sure you meet the basic requirements, are actually interested in the job and company, and we'll talk about salary and when you could start.

I had a phone interview with the SW engineering manager. We talked about my experience and some basic C questions. I was also asked to send over the technical document for my best project that same night. Then I went for an onsite interview where I met the hiring manager and director of Engineering. They mostly asked about my background and a quick question about the project I had shared.

So, the whole process for this role had 3 rounds. It was a mix of virtual and in-person interviews, plus a personality test. It started with a screening chat with HR. Then, there were two more interviews with the hiring manager and some other people from the team. It took a while to get everything scheduled because of timing issues, but they kept me updated the whole time.

I had a 1-on-1 with 3 supervisors and an HR manager. They reviewed my resume and asked some questions. They didn't seem to have prepared questions, so I ended up asking them questions while they looked over my resume. After the interview, they gave me a tour of the robot repair facilities so I could get a feel for the job. I wasn't selected for a second interview.
