Associate
The interview process was alright, not too tough. Scheduling took a while, and getting a response afterward also took a long time. It felt a bit disorganized, and I think they could have managed it better on their end and for the applicant.
- What was your experience with billing at your previous law firm?
Legal Assistant
So I first chatted with the corporate recruiter who handles all 17 offices. That was a 30-minute Zoom call about my background and the job details. Then, I had another 45-minute interview, which was supposed to be in-person with the managing partners of the local office but ended up being over Zoom because something came up. They mostly talked about their work and how I'd be a good fit, so I was basically selling myself to them. The final interview was in-person with one of the female partners. This one was way more chill and conversational, just them getting a vibe for who I am and if I'd mesh with the team.

- How do you think you would be a good fit for this position?
Associate Attorney
The interview process at KDV's White Plains office was really something. An HR intern from their Woodbury office set it up. When I arrived on time, they had no clue who I was and just told me to wait. After about twenty minutes, a partner showed up to interview me. He was super rude, dismissive, and condescending. I sent him a thank-you email afterwards, but it's been almost two months and three follow-ups, and still no response about offers. I'd heard bad things, but gave it a chance. Maybe if they treated people better, they wouldn't have such high turnover.
- Why are you interested in our firm?
- What makes you believe you are a good fit for this role at our firm?
Legal Secretary
An HR person reached out to set up an interview. They sorted out all the details, like who I'd meet, and it was set to be a video call. I went to the office, but it was pretty dark and rundown. A nice lady led me to an office. There was no one at the front desk, so I was a bit lost. She got me set up for the video call, but it turned out I was video conferencing with the person who set it all up because the other HR manager had an emergency and left.
- What's prompting your departure from your present employment?
