It was a pretty standard interview. The interviewer thought I had 150 credits, which wasn't true yet, but I was working on it. It didn't work out because of my GPA and lack of experience. I wish I had talked more about the skills I learned in school.

The interview process was great at first, very efficient and smooth. But then after the decision, I got an automated rejection email. This is after all the effort candidates put in initially. It would have been nice to get a personal call or email from the hiring manager or recruiter. It's not a big deal, but maybe it says something about the company culture.

I first met with the HR Director at a college career fair, just checking out accounting firms. A few days later, I got an email to come in for an interview at their office. Once there, we had a presentation about the firm, its industries, clients, and career paths. Following that, I had interviews with two partners. It felt more like a conversation to get to know each other, without typical interview questions. A few days later, I got an internship offer for the next busy season, starting in 11 months, which was great because I secured it so early.

The hiring recruiter was pleasant and joined our video call a few minutes after the scheduled time. They asked standard interview questions about my previous work history, my reasons for looking for a new job, and similar topics. In general, the process wasn't lengthy or overly extended.
