Interior Designer
I honestly had a full blown freak out moment because I thought I got scammed haha. These forums were helpful because I guess the personality test is actually part of the interview process—phew.

Assistant Specialist
Kari Whitman was quick to respond after I applied. I think she's so fast because if she sees potential, she moves quickly. She wants hardworking, talented people and goes after them. It makes sense since she runs 3 businesses along with her interior design company. If you get an interview, it's because she sees your value. Kari is realistic and direct, which I appreciated. She made the interview feel more relaxed, like I was talking to a colleague instead of just a boss. I didn't accept the offer because of family reasons, but I really think working for Kari and Kari Whitman Interiors is a unique chance. You'd learn a lot from her. It was clear she really cares about the people who help her run her successful business.
- What are your life goals and how does this job fit into them?
Executive Assistant
I applied online and had an initial screen that I thought went well. The next step was supposed to be a 45 minute personality and situational assessment to continue the process. I asked if I could have a conversation instead to show my personality and skills, but they said no. So I withdrew because I don't work for free. I get that they want to find the right fit, but so do I. I also value my time and my 10 years of C-Suite experience. I feel bad for candidates who actually agree to do these.
- To speak with Kari, what is the next step in the process?
Consultant
The interview process was pretty chill, but it's kinda sus they're hiring so many people urgently and paying way above market. Saw too many red flags, so I passed on the job.
- Were you familiar with interior design software?
