First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kapost.
Marketing Coordinator
it started with a phone call from someone who wasn't even an employee of the company, then there were marketing-related technical questions, followed by an in-person meeting with the whole marketing team where I had to present my past work. They sent a rejection email that didn't even have my name right, which was super unprofessional.
- Could you tell me about your weaknesses?
Sales Manager
I met with the VP and some other team members. Then I had to prep and give a sales presentation. After that, people gave feedback on my presentation. I heard back a week later.
- Tell me about your previous sales training.
Consultant
I got contacted by the recruiter on LinkedIn and had a pretty good chat with her about my background and the job. After that, I had to phone interview with the hiring manager. This interview was not conversational at all. The hiring manager asked standard questions, seemed disengaged, and brought up topics we had already discussed in depth with the recruiter, calling them 'something we haven't yet talked about at all'. I wasn't sure if she was even listening to me at times, and there was a lot of background noise from her end. By the end of the interview, I was having a bad feeling about this place, but they said I'd hear back in a 'couple of days' with a decision. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything. It seems like they're trying to hire a lot of people at once, but the way they handled candidates was still pretty unprofessional.
- Tell me about your experience in transformation consulting.
Customer Success Manager
I applied online and heard back from the recruiter about a week later to schedule an interview for the following week. They set up a one-hour interview via Hangouts, which seemed pretty quick and professional at first. However, for the actual 1:1 interview, the interviewer was 15 minutes late and then told me we only had 15 minutes left. It felt like they were just going through the motions, weren't really interested in hiring me, and wanted to end the call fast. Honestly, they should have just canceled it. I never heard back from them after that. Made a great impression!
- Can you share an instance of dealing with a challenging customer?
- Describe a time you were able to help grow product offerings for a client, by introducing products from other lines.
- Tell me about your experience working for a large organization and how that was a negative.
