I had a phone chat and then a panel interview with 3 managers. They gave me a heads up on some questions beforehand.

I sent in my application and had a quick phone chat. After that, I went to the library for an in-person interview with a panel of 4 people. They asked about my past experiences and threw in some behavioral questions. I got a good vibe from most of them, like they really wanted to get to know me. But, one person was late to the interview while I was talking, which kinda threw me off. It made me wonder about their professionalism and if they respect my time. Still, I'm glad I went because I learned more about the job and got more interview practice.

The phone interview was pretty long and I spoke with a group of librarians. We first went over the job description and they encouraged questions. I was asked to detail my past experiences working with children in library services.

I applied for the job online and heard back from the direct manager about two weeks later. I had an in-person interview on-site with the on-site manager, the building manager, and the deputy director of the department. This lasted about an hour. I didn't hear back until they called to offer me the job, which was about 3 weeks after the interview.
