Human Resources Generalist
The interview process went really smoothly and was pretty easy. I got to meet and chat with some of the team members and also the hiring manager. They gave me feedback pretty quickly, and then the onboarding part was smooth too.
- Can you tell me about the different kinds of roles and the levels you've recruited for in the past?
Sales Associate
Super easy process. Recruiter screened me, then I interviewed with the manager, sales manager, and met the staff. I got a store tour too. They made a job offer, but it was conditional on passing a background and drug test. Really straightforward and typical process.
- Can you tell me about your sales background?
- What is your experience level in sales?
- Describe some challenges you've faced in sales.
Human Resources
The HR team at the corporate office in Pinellas Park needs to revamp the recruiting team. I was reached out to by Mr. Blake and it was less than professional. His interview process on the phone is very rough. At a time where a lot of HR departments (and states making it illegal) are phasing out current pay questions to candidates, he wanted to know my current pay before he gave me anymore information about the role so he did "waste" his time. When I was called in for an in person interview, I met with him and there was no improvement. He would ask me generic questions and when I would answer them - he would either be looking off somewhere else and giving off the impression he had better things to do. It took me several attempts to get a follow up email from him and when I did, he told me the position was put on hold. After that, I have seen numerous job postings for that same position on multiple social media sites. The best practice for that would have been for him to tell me I was not selected for the position instead of ignoring my emails and lying to me. Be careful when dealing with the recruiting team.
- He inquired about my current salary.
Sales Representative
I showed up on time, dressed in business formal. The interviewer was really nice and went into detail about the job's practical aspects and the initial steps. They talked a lot about the training, which is about two weeks long, and explained the incentives and compensation clearly. I got enough info to really think about the job, and they mentioned there would be a second interview.
- What is your current employment status?
