First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kampgrounds of America.
Digital Marketing Manager
The interview process was good and exciting. It did take a long time because, in the late fall, everyone there was swamped preparing for the annual KOA convention in November.
- Tell me about your digital marketing experience.
Communications/Public Relations Director
I had an initial chat for a corporate gig. They said they were doing these intro calls over the next two weeks and I'd hear about next steps after that. After two weeks with no word, I checked in with my contact to see if they needed anything else, and then nothing. It felt unprofessional and like they didn't care about my time to just ghost me. If you promise to respond by a certain date, you should, even if it's just to say you're not moving forward.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- Can you describe a time you handled a crisis?
- Share an instance where a strategy wasn't effective and you had to change course.
Analyst
I had an initial phone screen, and then a panel interview on Zoom. The whole process was smooth; the company was clear about what was next and followed up quickly. The interviewers were friendly, asked good questions, and were respectful of my time.
- Can you describe how you approach problem-solving?
Front Desk Agent
We had our interview before they opened, so it was a group interview. We discussed our job duties, and they gave us a demonstration of how to answer the phones and what we will be dealing with. Then, we took a tour of the campground.
- What would you do if a camper was unhappy?
