This was one of the worst interviews I've ever had in my career. HR seemed unprepared and asked the same questions over and over. I felt like the interviewer only briefly looked at my LinkedIn before the meeting. She didn't know where I was located and asked if I'd relocate, even though I'm in the same city as the main office and my location is clearly listed on my resume. Other than an initial intro question and then asking it again, the rest of the 20-minute interview involved her reading from an overly enthusiastic script about the company. It was hard to stay engaged. I think she should have used that time to learn more about me and my suitability for the role. After the script, she invited us to follow up, but then didn't respond. Knowing the role from my previous experience, the interview process suggested the hiring team wouldn't be able to assess my background beyond what was on my resume. It's surprising given the company's focus on people.

So first they do an application review, then a quick phone chat, followed by some technical or behavioral interviews, and the last step is meeting with leadership or HR to see if you're a good fit and then they make an offer.

Behavioral Technical

I applied for an Administrative Assistant job online. They got my info and called me to set up an interview. Then, I went to the corporate office for skills testing and a drug test. Three days after the test, I had an interview with the hiring manager for the role, and then I was scheduled for a site interview. When I got there to meet the manager, the whole department team interviewed me. They seemed really impressed with how ready, sharp, and adaptable I was. Finally, I got offered the job.

Behavioral Technical

Manager was warm and welcoming and asked tough probing questions that made me think as well as learn what would be expected of me. He showed tremendous knowledge of his area and I knew that I wanted to work for him because of what I’d learn and how I’d be treated. The company is not what I expected but my manager is everything and more than I thought.
