The first interview was a panel interview where they asked a lot of the same mundane questions. Each person asked a question in turn, but I don't feel like they got to know me. I left feeling robotic with my answers.

I had a 1-hour in-person interview on campus with an HR rep, which was great! Then, I had another on-campus interview with the Director and a few other people. It was honestly the WORST interview I've ever had. It was more of an interrogation than a conversation and I immediately knew I didn't want the position when I left campus. It was for a part-time position too. I honestly expected better from the career office Director of Strengths because he worked in career but he is the WORST interviewer...wow!

Behavioral Presentation

I had an initial 30-minute meeting with HR, followed by a two-hour discussion with the department head. It was more of an introductory conversation about the school, and since the department head and I already knew each other, it was quite familiar. On the second day, I was given the textbook and materials to design my course.

Behavioral Presentation

I interviewed with the dean, and it was a really pleasant experience, honestly. It felt like a genuine conversation, regardless of the outcome. They asked for my thoughts on teaching, even though I hadn't taught before, and presented hypothetical situations like a student struggling to keep up or grasp concepts, asking how I'd handle them. I just answered truthfully. While I enjoyed the interaction, it wasn't necessarily 'easy' because it required thinking on my feet and generating new ideas spontaneously. However, I don't typically get flustered in these kinds of discussions, so I felt I performed well. I'd categorize the interview as average difficulty – challenging in terms of idea generation and articulation, but not in a stressful, confrontational way.
