First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kajabi.
Senior iOS Engineer
I applied to Kajabi on LinkedIn and a recruiter reached out via email. We scheduled a 30-minute Zoom call. The recruiter was really nice, had read my resume, and was even excited about my side project. We chatted about Kajabi and their goals. Usually, there's a technical screen next, but I got scheduled directly for a one-hour interview with the mobile engineering manager. It was a chill interview, but ultimately they decided I wasn't the right fit. I'm thankful they considered me for a hiring manager interview since that's usually the last step. Kajabi respected my time by not making me do multiple rounds of technical DSA, sample apps, and system design before checking for cultural and leadership alignment. Looking back, maybe I was too open about issues at my last job, or too firm in suggesting manual testing even with good test coverage and automation.

Webflow Developer
I recently interviewed at Kajabi for a Senior Webflow Developer role, and honestly, it was one of the better experiences I've had. The interviewer was super friendly and set a relaxed tone from the start, explaining the company and process so I always felt in the loop. They genuinely listened to my background, instead of just running through a checklist. The technical part actually related to what I’d do on the job—they gave me a clear, real-world Webflow assignment with space to be creative, and I could ask questions if anything was unclear. When I spoke with the hiring manager, it felt like a real conversation, not an interrogation: we discussed projects I was proud of, how I tackle challenges, and where I want to grow. I got a great sense of how they value leadership and initiative without acting like gatekeepers.

Agency Manager
I had a really great experience with Rachael-Margaret, a recruiting leader. Even though I didn't get an offer, the process was super clear and smooth. Everyone I met was prepared and seemed genuinely interested. Rachael-Margaret even prepped me for the interviews. They gave feedback afterward, which I really appreciated, especially since I had to reschedule a few times due to my chaotic schedule. Rachael-Margaret was super patient and committed to giving me feedback, saying, 'You could have interviewed anywhere and chose to give us your time, attention, and energy. I’m committed to giving you feedback, and finding time to make that happen is a priority for me.' It was a remarkable experience, and I can only imagine how valued Kajabi employees must feel. I'm a bit jealous of the person who got the offer.
- Can you share an instance where you created something from scratch?
Engineering Manager
The interview process started with a recruiter screening call, followed by a chat with the hiring manager. Then there was a take-home assignment. After that, 5 more interviews were scheduled with various stakeholders, but I didn't attend them because I got an offer somewhere else. I was really excited about this role at first and liked everyone I met. But I got another offer before I could do the remaining 5 interviews. Honestly, I was so relieved. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but most jobs I've had only required 2-3 interviews, like HR, Hiring Manager, and their manager. This new trend of endless interview loops just seems to attract mediocre talent because the good candidates get picked up fast.
