First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kairos Technologies.
Software Engineer
So the interview for a Software Engineer is like a few steps. First, we do a recruiter call to see if you're a good fit and talk about your background. Then there are technical interviews. These can have coding problems, system design stuff, and other technical challenges. We also do behavioral interviews to check how you work with others and if you fit with the company. Sometimes there's a final chat or offer discussion before deciding.
- Can you explain what SQL is?
- What is the difference between Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence?
- Tell me about Deep Learning.
Delivery Manager
After passing the first interview round, I had a brief 15-minute face-to-face meeting with the Chief Delivery Officer, which seemed to be the end of the process. It felt like they already had someone picked for the position. After that, HR stopped responding to any contact attempts. I eventually found out I wasn't selected.
- Could you describe your main strengths?
- Can you walk me through your career history?
- Regarding my CV, what were your specific activities in your previous role?
Digital Marketing Team Lead
The interview process was a scam. It was a one-hour interview covering technical and functional questions, and I got good feedback. Then, I was assigned an 'assignment' which was actually a project to audit their current websites, suggest recommendations, and improvements. They are using the interview process to get free work. After submitting the assignment, they declined me with excuses. If they want to test candidates, they should give a generic assignment. If they are serious and give website-related work, they should consider hiring the candidate, as the suggestions might be valuable and they could be exploited.
- Can you provide recommendations and improvements for our current websites?
Java Developer
So there were 3 rounds in total. The first was a written and technical test, which wasn't too hard, just simple math and basic tech stuff. It had 80 questions and you got 90 minutes. I think the cutoff score was around 60. I didn't make it past this first round because I didn't hit the cutoff score. Then there were 2 face-to-face rounds, one of which was a 3-hour session.
- Questions about simple math, not like regular quant.
- Questions on verbal ability including fill in the blanks, correcting spelling, and identifying scientific words.
- Technical questions covering basic topics like the full name of PDF, simple programming tasks, and basic SQL commands.
