Had a 1st phone interview with the recruiter and a 2nd with the Chief Data Scientist. Both were super friendly and gave me a great overview of the company, its current business, and its future plans. I talked about my Data Scientist experience and got asked about MapReduce and NLP. The 3rd interview was on-site, a 90-minute Python programming task where I managed 2 out of 4 tasks (Python isn't my strong suit, still too much R in my background!). Then, another 90 minutes for an open problem: given a dataset, build a binary classifier and identify the most important predictor variables. The 4th interview with Kabbage heads was all about my personality. Honestly, everyone was incredibly friendly, making me feel like part of the team. I could see they were dedicated and passionate about their work.

I had a phone interview with the chief data scientist. It was supposed to include a shared screen coding test, but I couldn't do it because I was at work and didn't have access to my personal laptop. The recruiter mentioned that they need someone with more language experience, which is why I think I was rejected.
