First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at K.M.G. Consultants.
Intern
First interview was in person at their really nice office with the main person in charge. They asked basic behavioral questions and about my studies. The job description made it seem like an analytical role, but the second interview was a shadow day with a sales rep, which was surprising since sales isn't my interest. Overall, it seems like a good company, but I didn't like the misleading advertising.
- Tell me about your favorite TV show.
Junior Consultant
So there were three steps in the interview process. First, you have this preliminary interview, you know, you meet with the hiring manager. Then, the second interview is with a current employee. This takes place in their actual territory, so you get to see what a typical day looks like. I really liked the shadowing part, the person I was with was fun and it gave me a chance to ask a bunch of questions since I wasn't really sure what the job would involve. Finally, the third interview is back with the hiring manager. I got a call the next day and they offered me the job.
- Can you share an instance where you had to act quickly to resolve an issue?
B2B Sales
I applied for a B2B sales position and was contacted to come in for an interview with their Manager. The interview was about half hour, and we talked about my 10 years of B2B sales experience and the differences between the two jobs. It's interesting how many products they can offer their clients; most companies hire specialists for sales, and this was more of a generalist position.
- Have you trained others before?
Sales Consultant
There were 2 interviews set up. The first one was a primary interview with a trainer. Then there was a following shadow-type session where you follow them around for the day to understand what it is like in the field and what your primary job function will be.
- Is it possible for you to accept only commission-based payments?
