Super great interview process. The team was responsive and kept things moving efficiently and communicated regularly. They made it clear what to expect. The TA Advisor I worked with had great info and was kind to check in. Loved it.

It was a typical screening interview to see if I'd be a good fit. I heard back within a week and they asked me to come in for an in-person interview. I met with three people I'd be working with: my direct supervisor, their supervisor, and a coworker. It was a regular interview, but I was surprised there wasn't much, if any, talk about faith, church, or family. It was actually one of the least personal interviews I've had. I was really surprised I didn't hear from them after the interview; I'd expect a follow-up.

So after I submitted my online application, the recruiter emailed me to set up a phone call. The first phone chat was pretty basic, just confirming what I put on the application, making sure I was still keen on the job, and generally checking if I'd be a good fit. Then, I spoke on the phone with my potential boss, the regional engineering manager. We'd talked before, so we were on the same page about the role. After that, I had to fill out more paperwork, like a formal application, a form to check my driving record, and a statement of faith because it's a Christian organization. The next step was a full day in-person interview at their main office in Rocklin, California. They handled all the travel and hotel, totally paid for everything. The day started with a tour, then a rundown of the engineering team at HQ, and interviews throughout the day with different engineering groups, like NOC, rack build/repair, RF proof, satellite distribution, operations, and site development. It was pretty chill and relaxed, not stressful at all. Mostly just casual chats, and lunch with the team was great. The day ended with another chat with the regional manager. Once that was done, I had to authorize a background check. After that got going, they sent an offer letter and start date, which was conditional on the background check clearing. It did clear a few days later. My start date was set for a two-day employee orientation in California, again, all expenses paid and arranged. The rest of that week was spent on job-specific training for the engineering department. The whole process took about two months and was really thorough but clear. I always knew what was going on.

I submitted my resume and was contacted quickly to schedule an initial recruiter interview. It was straightforward, and I felt positive about the position based on my experience and personal Christian background. I was told the entire process could take a month due to internal changes and that I'd get feedback on next steps within a week. It's been months, and I haven't received any feedback or even a basic rejection email. The job I interviewed for was just posted on LinkedIn again, so they still haven't found anyone. That same job was on their site for months before I even spoke with them. I'm questioning if the position is even real. Amazing etiquette from this type of business...
