Closing Processor
I interviewed with the office manager and department manager in a professional conference room. They were both really nice, spoke well, knew their stuff, and were professional. They told me about the job and what they expected, and then answered all my questions.

Construction Manager
We had three virtual interview rounds. First, I spoke with an HR representative. Then, I met with the first level of managers. Finally, I had my last interview with the division manager. Everyone was nice throughout the whole process. Really good people to talk to from the start to the end.
- What is your motivation for seeking this position?
Marketing Administrator
The interview process was pretty simple and as fast as possible. It started with emails, then a recruiter in NJ did a phone screen. After that, she set up an in-person interview with the local marketing manager at their office for the next week. I met the manager who was on time and direct. She gave me some background. She was new to the role (I was interviewing for her old job) and there was also an opening for the regional manager position above her, so the whole department is going through changes and I definitely picked up on her frustration a bit, both that she had a lot of work to handle and a lot of changes to make. She was really nice though, and I felt I could relate to what was happening from my own experiences in a changing department and I was keen to help out. She mentioned they were hiring either one or two administrators but that would be decided after talking with the local director. I felt like she and I really clicked and my interview, scheduled for an hour, went for an hour and a half and she rescheduled a phone call to keep talking with me. I was asked to bring a portfolio of collateral, which I did. We discussed my strengths/weaknesses and also how I work best/what kind of environment I prefer. We talked about her vision, the immediate needs this role has to fill, and the department's future scope. It really sounded like she took over a difficult situation, to put it mildly, that she was really focused on fixing. Very organized, very clear about the job expectations, etc. and I was told after she spoke with the director they would contact me if I was selected for a second interview and that they aim to make a decision by the end of April (which was two weeks from the interview date). Eventually, after emailing the NJ recruiter twice (I now see why there was a delay in my response), I was told that the marketing director wants the regional position filled before the administrator role(s). I was asked if I was willing to wait and I said yes. I asked for a general timeline/my status as an applicant, though, and didn't get a response. I understand those might be hard questions to answer right away, but I would have appreciated an acknowledgement, especially since I felt we connected so well. So my experience with the people was good, obviously, but I'm a bit annoyed by the change in process, but that's how it goes sometimes and I get why it happened. So for now, I'm waiting! All in all good, though.

Sales Consultant
I applied for a Sales Consultant role in the Chicago area. The whole process took about two months, from late October to mid-December. It involved 5 interviews and was pretty thorough. First, HR from New Jersey called to check my interest, then a more formal phone interview with HR. After that, I completed a personality assessment and a sales questionnaire. About three weeks later, the hiring manager scheduled an in-person interview, which was pretty standard, covering salary and sales expectations, plus details about a training program. Since I hadn't sold new construction before, the offer came with the condition of starting as a Sales Assistant and completing their training before being promoted to Sales Consultant. After passing the initial stages, I had a phone interview with the VP of Sales in New Jersey. The final interview was in person with an Assistant VP in Chicago. The offer was extended the week after the last interview. Post-offer, I underwent a background check which included verifying past employment, criminal records, and credit history, along with a drug test. The process was a bit slow, but the people were nice.
