First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JW Speaker.
Intern
The interview process was lengthy but felt fair. After the interviews concluded, I was given a tour of the facilities. The interview process consisted of two main rounds: one with engineering managers and another with administrators. The tour guide provided very helpful information about their work.
- Can you describe a time you engineered a safety device?
Other
It was a pretty standard interview process. I started with a phone screen with HR where they asked the typical questions about my past roles and what I'm seeking. Everyone I met with after that was really nice, and they took time to get to know me, discuss my career goals, and share details about the company culture and what it's like to work there.
- What are you looking for in your next position?
- Tell me about a time you worked on a project that required collaboration across multiple departments.
Analyst
The position I applied to changed and when I got in the interview, they told me the title and job description were different. It was now an analyst role. They seem to not be organized before they bring people in. The HR gal seemed stressed and felt like she was complaining about the rapid change and how busy she was because of it. Her, "we'll be in touch," means just the opposite because you won't receive a rejection letter, a call or a response for a job status email inquiry.
- What do you like to do for fun?
Mold Operator
I had a formal interview with the head of the mold department and HR. It was very basic and to the point. They asked about my goals with the company, but it didn't seem like they really cared because you never work your way up; you stay in the position you're hired at.
- What are your goals with the company?
