First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JVS, San Francisco.
Human Resources Assistant
The interview process was very formal! It was supposed to be a 3-step interview, but that wasn't for this role. I was actually interviewing for a different position and made it to the final round, but I didn't get that job. Fortunately, they noticed my skills were transferable to an HR assistant position and offered me a temporary role instead.

Executive Assistant
The interview process was cordial, not too long, and informal. The interviewer was relaxed and made me feel comfortable. I really enjoyed the process, but unfortunately another company sniped me and gave me a better offer and fully remote.

- Do you have experience in the non-profit realm?
Placement Coordinator
So, first there was a phone screening with the hiring manager. After that, I had a second interview, which was a panel with 5 people from the company over zoom. They actually sent over the interview questions beforehand, so I had some time to prep. It ended with a mock case with a client, which was a pretty in-depth interview.
- Can you share your experience in helping or guiding individuals through challenges to reach a specific objective?
Program Coordinator
The JVS interview process is spot on. The interviewers are prepped and organized, just as you should be. The JVS team is great to work with, and their hiring process is why! Just go over the usual advice—know the job inside and out, have stories ready that show you're a perfect fit, and ask away.
