I had a 30-minute in-person interview at Just Salad's office in Midtown Manhattan, which was a long trip. After the first interview, I asked if later interviews could be virtual because of the commute. They said no, they wanted all interviews in person. So I went back for a second 45-minute in-person interview and met two more people. It seemed to go well, and I sent thank-you emails to everyone. They replied, seeming interested. Then, nothing. No updates, no rejection, just silence even though they were responsive before. Four months later, I saw the job posted again, meaning they didn't fill it. They asked me to travel twice to Midtown, responded to my follow-ups, and then ghosted me, and now they're back to square one. I used to be a loyal customer for 10 years, but this experience has changed that. I won't go back or spend money there. It makes you wonder how they treat other people if they treat candidates like this. For future candidates, be ready for in-person interviews with no flexibility and possible ghosting even after things seem positive and you're communicating. It was really frustrating to have no closure after making those trips.

Great interview process, good questions, very objective. They introduced themselves and then asked some easy and strategic questions. They also talked about the job opening, benefits, and salaries. There were many people, and two openings.

I talked to the department head for a phone interview, but he cut it short because I hadn't been to a location yet. He said they wouldn't talk to me unless I bought something first. I bought an $8 wrap from Just Salad, which I could barely afford that week. It was okay, the place is like any other salad spot. He said I had to go there to 'go through the experience.' I emailed him right away saying I was ready for a call. 10 days and another email later, he told me they went with someone else. I wonder if that person had to spend more to get him on the phone for more than 90 seconds. I've never interviewed at a place that required me to be a customer before they'd even explain the job. Good luck to anyone who actually gets to talk to these people.

Went through their online application and was contacted to come to their store in midtown Manhattan between 3:30 and 5:30. I studied the menu, got dressed, and took the subway from Brooklyn in the rain. Upon arrival, I was told to stand in line while a young lady interviewed teenagers, sometimes while on the phone. She also pulled other staff from the serving line for interviews. When it was my turn, she said she wasn't the right person to interview for the GM or AGM role. Despite showing her the email, she had no explanation and told me to reapply online. The place seemed disorganized and like they don't value anyone's time.
