Applied on their site and was contacted by HR to set up an interview with the hiring manager. We mainly talked about the position and required skills. Then, I had 4 technical rounds with different engineers who seemed knowledgeable and focused on gauging my technical knowledge, specifically in routing protocols and MPLS. After the technical rounds, I didn't hear back from HR, and upon following up, I was told they were still interviewing and would update me on their decision. It's been about 6 weeks with no word. After going through 5 rounds, I expected more courtesy in informing candidates of their status, especially from a company like Juniper.

It was a very Professional and Coordinated process by HR. First, HR screening with basic questions on networking. Then a Technical Screening taken by the manager, which covered scenarios, my current job role, and why Juniper, lasting 45 minutes. After that, a Telephonic Technical Round focusing on Basics and Fundamentals of Networks for 1 hour 45 mins. Then a Video conference for a Deep knowledge check on Protocols, which took 2 hours. This was followed by a Presentation round for 1 hour. Finally, there were Manager and HR rounds. The entire interview process spanned 4 weeks, and it went really well. However, they put my position on hold due to some internal approval issues, stating the profile was not rejected but kept with the hiring manager. Since it was going well and I knew I had given perfect interviews, I believed and waited for the callback. About 4 months later, with just HR and Manager rounds, I received the offer letter. It felt pleasing, this happened for the first time as it took a total of 6 months, but it was worth the wait.

This role was for Juniper TAC. I went through a total of 6 hours-long interviews and spent my whole week on the process hoping it would be worth it. In the end, they said that even though I got positive feedback from the interviewers, they wouldn't consider me because they had found another candidate. Now my question is, they could've stopped my interviews right at the beginning if they had wanted to. Don't waste a candidate's time and energy!
