First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jungheinrich.
Industrial Engineer
The first meeting was remote and really nice with the direct manager and someone from HR. It felt professional and well-organized. I felt I had enough say and opportunity to present myself. In the second meeting, on-site, the fit between me and the plant manager unfortunately wasn't there. Still, the whole process was considered fair and professional.
- What methods do you use most often or prefer?
Sales
Very long interview over an hour and a half with the branch manager and the internal HR representative. Good cop, bad cop dynamic. A few days after the interview, I was told the branch manager objected "because he didn't like the final question", remaining vague and not specifying which one. Not that I asked any anyway. I think he was interested in dragging out this selection since the position remained open for almost a year.

Information Technology Head
I submitted an online application for an IT role and had an initial chat with a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview at their Milton Keynes office. I was told I could park in the front, but there was no parking available, so I had to park around the back near the loading docks. I tried calling the number provided, but no one answered. Even though I arrived 15 minutes early, finding parking and getting into the building was a hassle, with no one at reception, which made me worried about being late. Once inside, the office was nice, and the interview went well, leaving a good impression. Afterwards, I was promised feedback and an outline of next steps the very next day. But, that didn't happen. After the weekend, I emailed the Talent Acquisition Specialist for feedback. They replied that they were chasing feedback and would call me the next day. I waited a couple of days and emailed again. That was the last I heard from Jungheinrich. I get that giving feedback to everyone is tough, but it's a shame when people spend time, effort, and take time off work for interviews, and then get no updates. Prompt feedback, even for rejections, shows respect for people's time and effort. This whole experience reflects badly on Jungheinrich and suggests they don't value people's time.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
Verkaufsreferent
The interview took place at the Intralogistics & Forklift location in Munich. The HR representative and everyone else I met were very friendly. My only real criticism is that towards the end of the roughly 2-hour interview, they brought up salary. They explained that the logistics industry has different salary levels than what I had indicated in my desired salary, and they significantly undercut it by a four-figure amount. It really makes me wonder why such a critical point isn't discussed upfront in a brief phone call. This would give candidates a chance to provide feedback on whether they even want to continue the hiring process if there's such a large discrepancy from their salary expectations.
