Got a case study task 45 minutes before a call to prep a presentation. The call began with a quick intro to Jumpstart, followed by my 5-10 minute case study presentation. Then, we discussed my background, and I got to ask questions and learn about the next steps.

Case Presentation Behavioral

The interview process with Jumpstart was smooth and well-organized. It started with an initial CV screening followed by a case-based interview. Before the interview (about 30-45 minutes before), you are given a case that you need to analyse and present for 5-10 minutes.

Presentation Technical

Before the interview, you'll have a 40-minute task to complete. You can choose between an analytical task or a creative one, both taking 40 minutes for completion and presentation prep. The interview itself starts with them introducing themselves for 5 minutes, then you have 10 minutes to explain your interest in working there. After that, you'll present your task results, followed by a logic test, which should take around 40 minutes.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process involved a phone screen with a recruiter, followed by an interview with the hiring manager, and then a final round with several members of the investment team. The hiring manager seemed to be looking for someone who could close deals but listed the position as Investment Associate to pay less. Jumpstart positions itself as a VC, but their investment return goals (2-3x) are lower than typical VCs (10x). The process was frustratingly long, taking months with no follow-up. The recruiter was poor at communication regarding timelines and didn't adhere to her own stated schedules. For those in Cleveland interested in VC, Jumpstart is a viable option, but other opportunities are generally better.
