First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jumbo.
Engineering Manager
I applied online, then had a recruiter call to check my motivation, see if my experience fits, go over the role, and salary expectations. After that, I went for an in-person interview at Jumbo Tech Campus. The office vibe was nice, people seemed friendly, but the interview itself wasn't great. The interviewers seemed disorganized, asked weird personal questions, and didn't really grasp the challenges of a matrix organization. I also got the impression of racist behavior based on questions about my nationality and their reaction to my birthplace.

Data Analyst
The application for Data Analyst at Jumbo was an educational and well-organized experience. From the first contact, the process felt professional and personal. The recruiters were friendly and transparent about the steps involved. During the interview, the focus was on analytical thinking, data skills, and how you add value to the business operations with data. There was also attention paid to teamwork and Jumbo's company culture, which highly values innovation and customer focus. The feedback was quick and clear, which made the experience even more positive. All in all, a pleasant and motivating application process.
- What motivates your interest in working at this company?
Warehouse Worker
The interview process was okay, but it didn't really appeal to me in the end. A tour of the store was quite enjoyable, though. The conversation itself was less so because it just wasn't a good fit, which makes things difficult. That's just how it is.
- Where do you see yourself working here?
Cashier
The process was fast. I filled out the form with my CV and a cover letter. They responded the same day and said they liked my profile for the job and invited me for an interview the same week. In the interview, I spoke with the team leader. They asked me how I would react in different situations that can happen in the store. We talked over a cup of tea about my work experience.
