I had a proactive interview process. Before I officially accepted the offer, we met 4 times. I enjoyed our conversations about growth and how I could help them achieve their objectives. It was a very thorough and generally enjoyable process.

So after I applied, they emailed me to set up a time for an in-person interview in Tribeca. They requested my resume and asked me to wear business casual. I met with the store manager I'd be working under. We talked about my past retail jobs, my availability, and some personality questions like my strengths and weaknesses. The interview was at one of their JP stores. They thanked me and later I got an email saying I passed and which store and position I got.

Right after I applied, HR reached out and asked me to come to NYC for a job that was actually in Northeastern NJ. I went, and to my surprise, it was for general management of two locations. I was also told there would be a second interview to discuss salary, logistics, and the *real* role compared to the Indeed ad. The person for the second interview didn't show up, but a group of people asked me questions; they couldn't make decisions and said I'd need *another* interview with the person who missed the last one. Keep in mind, I traveled from NJ to NYC. After three interviews, I spent over $100 just trying to get this job. They said I'd hear back the next day, but I never did. These people only care about their own commutes and don't bother preparing someone to work in NJ with two stores that are poorly managed and need serious help in management and marketing.

The interview process was straightforward and lasted about 10 minutes. I was given an application to fill out and then started working immediately. The interviewer, who I believe was a manager and not kitchen staff, didn't ask any questions related to food preparation.
