Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JTI - Japan Tobacco International.
Manager
The hiring process took quite a while, from August to November. The SHL assessments are manageable but require careful attention. While the process is challenging, the team is very professional and helpful. The first stage involved assessments, followed by a one-on-one interview, and concluding with another technical test. Overall, it was a decent process, just very demanding and lengthy.
- Can you share an instance of a failure you experienced?
Senior Manager
The interview process starts with 2 interviews with HR based in Poland, followed by 1 final stage with the Hiring Manager - which in my case was based in Geneva
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What are your thoughts on working in the tobacco industry?
Diversity and Inclusion Manager
The feedback from each stage of the interview process was unfortunately very slow. I had to repeatedly follow up to find out the status of my application because the recruitment team was not based in the UK. It appears this is a new setup for them, and they need to work on improving the overall candidate experience.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and areas for development?
