& Process

Went through an initial email and phone screening. It was really difficult to get in touch with anyone during the process. I was told to wait for the next steps and then they just ghosted me. Not a great experience. I'm not even sure if they ended up hiring anyone.

Went through 2 online tests, then an in-person test, and finally a superday. I didn't get to speak with anyone until the superday. The tests weren't too hard, and the superday technicals were mostly arithmetic. The whole process was really straightforward and moved fast.

The recruiter was super nice, but the interview itself was tough. The managers I spoke with were mostly arrogant and rude, making me feel like I was wasting their time. I know I wasn't fully prepared, but I did my best. After the initial phone call with the recruiter, I had a first-round interview with three senior managers. They had some papers and asked me a series of personality questions back-to-back, like 'What's your biggest weakness?'. It was really draining. I never heard back after that, even though I sent two emails and made a call. While I could have prepared better, their decision to just ghost me felt really unprofessional.

I applied and the recruiter reached out, they were super nice. We had a good phone chat where they asked about my background, my current internship, my multifamily experience, why I wanted to join JRK, and my excel skills. After some back and forth, I went in for an interview a week or two later. The recruiter really hyped me up, saying I was a perfect fit. When I got there, it seemed like something external was happening and the SVP and President I was supposed to meet were in a last-minute meeting. So, I only met with one of the three people I was told about, but I still had good conversations with the three employees there. I was pretty thrown off because I'd researched everyone I was supposed to meet and knew little about the two who stepped in. I might have fumbled a bit because of the last-minute changes, but I was relieved when the recruiter kept telling me I did great, even after checking with the interviewers. I sent thank-you emails that night to everyone, expressing my interest and mentioning our chats. Two out of four replied. A week went by with no news, so I emailed the recruiter. Another week passed, so I called and left a voicemail, then emailed again. No response. Another week later, I sent a final email accepting their decision and asking for feedback. Still no reply. It's been about a month and a half since the interview and I've moved on, but I wanted to share my experience. They clearly went with someone else, but it's pretty unprofessional to just ghost someone.
