Project Manager / Engagement Consultant
This was the worst candidate experience ever. It started June 1st and went until September 15th with an automated rejection email. It included a phone screen, then several video interviews, and finally an in-person panel interview. The phone screen went okay, but the recruiter didn't send a working link for the next video call with leadership, so I had to call her last minute to get one. After that went well, they said I'd come in for a panel interview. It took a lot of follow-up emails and calls to set that up. I wasn't given any directions on where to go in the hospital for the interview, so I had to ask another office for the floor. During the panel with 4 people, the talent consultant called me mid-interview to say she'd meet me in the lobby. After the panel, I met with HR and was told one interviewer thought I was overqualified. I left feeling good, they said they'd be in touch. The next day they asked if I was interested in another role, which I was, then I got ghosted for weeks. Then an email for a virtual meeting with another HR lead, who said we were moving forward. Then ghosted again for a couple of weeks. I met someone from talent at a job fair who apologized for everything and said they were still interested. A call was set for the next day with the original talent consultant, who asked for my availability for the next two weeks, which I sent. Then completely ghosted for 4 weeks. I eventually withdrew by emailing the interviewer, letting them know how terrible the process was and that I'd write a review. Chasing them up was ridiculous, and it should've been a red flag that I didn't want to work for a company that drags candidates along for months only to ghost them and send an automated rejection. The talent group needs retraining/replacement and the leads should be ashamed. They were unorganized, lacked follow-through, and were immature.
- Can you share a project you're proud of that you worked on?
Manager
The interview process began with a chat with the recruiter, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. The final part involved meeting the team and presenting a past project. The vibe was pretty laid back and conversational, with each part lasting about an hour. They were really open and honest about the company culture.
- What challenges do you face in your current position?
- What is your motivation for seeking a new role?
Nurse
They got back to me pretty fast after I applied. The interview was super short, like 10-15 minutes. When I got there, they mentioned we could interview for more than one unit if we wanted to, and a lot of people added ER to their list. There were just two people interviewing me and they were all really nice and welcoming :).
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your motivation for working at JPS?
- What inspired you to seek a role in women's services or Labor & Delivery?
- Describe a situation where you made an error.
Talent Acquisition Associate
I had an initial screening with a Talent Consultant, and then a panel interview over MS Teams. The panel consisted of 8 women from the Talent Acquisition Department, though only about 5 asked questions, with 2 asking more than two. The interview was short, around 20-30 minutes. They mentioned they had more interviews to do and would let me know about decisions in about a week. I got a call back a bit over a week later, maybe a week and a half, and they offered me the job. After accepting, I had to complete a reference check, background screening, drug test, and blood draw.
