Special Education Teacher
So, the interview is basically an oral Q&A session with a panel. It'll take about 30 minutes. They'll ask about your education and work history, what jobs you've done, what you've accomplished, your good and bad points, and what you do for fun like hobbies and stuff outside of work. Also, they'll want to know about your salary needs and why you're looking to move on from your last position.
- What makes you want to join our team?
- Can you share your educational background and professional experience?
- Could you detail the positions you've held?
Automation Engineer
I was contacted by a head hunter and the whole interview process took close to 2 months. The phone screen was about 1 hour where the 2 engineers in the team I was interviewing with went over my resume and additional 'How did you do this' kind of questions from your previous work experience. Be prepared with your resume. Onsite interview was mostly to see your face and get to know you kind of questions before they offer you a job or to see if you fit the culture. Be prepared for some behavioral questions for onsite. You will have several rounds where you will have the chance to meet from Director of Engineering, to Managers and Engineers.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in working at Joy Global?
- What about this role interests you the most?
- Why Joy Global? What appeals most about this role?
Market Analyst
So I got this call from JG's HR, asking if I was interested in working there. They found my CV online. I didn't know the company but decided to go for it. There were two interviews. First was with the hiring manager and HR, and then the next-level manager joined the second interview. Mostly they asked about my experience, went through my CV, and inquired about my future goals. Everyone was nice and it was a fast process.
- What are your long-term plans?
- Can you tell me about your experience and long-term plans?
Production Engineer
It started with a basic phone interview, and then I had an in-person interview. The interviews were pretty straightforward, but it felt a bit disorganized because I had to keep reaching out to the recruiter at each stage. Everyone I met was nice, though. I didn't really get a clear picture of the job until pretty late in the process.
- Can you describe a situation where you collaborated with a team to solve a problem?
- What is your experience with hydraulic and electrical systems?
