The interview process began with two HackerEarth online assessments (OAs). The first OA was relatively easy to medium in difficulty. The second OA featured a single, somewhat challenging question. Following these OAs, there were interview rounds focusing mainly on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), with some basic backend concepts also covered.

So the interview process for this role was about 3 rounds long. They were unstructured, around 60-90 mins each. The first interview had two problem solving questions, though I felt I didn't do great because my wording wasn't exact. It also started late and ran over. The second interview was super unstructured, veering into personal stuff and barely touching on role fit. It was over 60 mins. The third interview had an interviewer who wouldn't turn their camera on and asked really specific behavioural/background questions that didn't seem to relate to my work experience. This one was also very long. HR was good at setting things up initially, but dropped off later. All three interviewers gave positive feedback, but I was ultimately rejected. When I asked for feedback to improve, I got ghosted by HR after a few follow-ups. One person did reply on LinkedIn but clammed up when I asked for feedback. Eventually, HR said my profile wasn't as strong as others. It seems weird to go through three long rounds if that was the case from the start. The whole thing felt very disorganized with poor interviewers. They also mentioned a hire and fire culture, so probably not a good place to join. My advice is to skip this company and avoid working with these people.

Behavioral Other

I recently had a rather amusing interview experience with Joveo for a Senior Manager – Growth position. The interviewer, who seemed to be a leader, lacked understanding of the role and was unprofessional. They barely asked any real questions and mostly talked about themselves. Although the title was Growth, the role sounded more like operations/admin, and they kept calling it a "supply" role. It was quite confusing and amusing. I was actually glad not to proceed after that interaction. Based on their communication, I felt my cook could explain things more clearly, and I'd be concerned about the leadership of 'growth/supply/strategy' teams at Joveo if this is representative.

The HR person was nice and helpful, always available. However, I'm not sure they were clear about what they wanted in candidates. The first interviewer was great, asking meaningful and situational questions like what I'd do with tight deadlines from multiple leaders, how I collaborate, handle pressure, or manage time, plus resume questions. It went well. The second round felt unprofessional; the interviewer seemed unaware of the role, fumbled when asked about a typical day, and was distracted by their phone, appearing uninterested. Despite this, they gave good feedback and asked relevant questions. The interview was okay for me, just not very professional. The hiring team should address this. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I think it'd be a good company to work for, even though I wasn't selected because I wasn't the right fit.
