Content Writer
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a recruiter call, then a video call with the hiring manager, followed by an hour-long panel interview that included the hiring manager. I got the offer and was initially happy, but when I brought up negotiation, my recruiter immediately emailed back saying, "We don't like you're that excited to join our company. We are rescinding the offer." They really lowballed me at first, but I figured it would be fine to negotiate. They didn't even let me present a case and rescinded the offer within a day. This has never happened to me before, and I really hope they understand that negotiations are a normal part of job searching. It's cruel to completely rescind an offer just because our numbers don't match. I replied asking to talk on the phone, but my recruiter never got back to me.

I was contacted by a Jotform interviewer on LinkedIn. We scheduled an initial screening call, and they said they liked me so much they were moving me to the final interview. I kept asking the interviewer for updates on when this final interview would happen, but got no response. I tried reaching out via LinkedIn and the existing email thread, but nothing. This went on for weeks. Then, I got an email from the recruiter apologizing for the delay and saying the hiring team was ready to schedule me. I replied, excited to move forward. Again, no response. After another week, I thought it was a scam. Finally, I heard back, and we got the interview with the hiring team scheduled. The main interviewer was very off-putting. I presented myself well and stayed positive, but when I spoke about myself, he rubbed his face like he was exhausted and annoyed. The interview ended much sooner than planned, and I never got a follow-up. The recruiter still hasn't replied after many weeks. Worst interview experience ever.

Recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn and was super hyped, almost too much, like they really wanted me. They called the next step a "final interview." This interview was pretty thorough, but the interviewers seemed a bit lost and unsure about what they were looking for. Then things got weird. The recruiter messaged me over the weekend saying the hiring managers thought I'd be a great fit, which made me think an offer was coming! But no, there was one last step before the offer. The recruiter said I was the first person they'd asked to do this. They wanted a one-pager org profile and a mock call with the SDR manager. The mock call was strange – we did the roleplay on Zoom, and as soon as it was over, the manager just dipped without any feedback or asking if I had questions. I sent my notes to everyone, and then radio silence for almost a week. Finally, the recruiter messaged, thanking me for my time and saying they went with someone else. Honestly, they need to figure out their vetting process and stop letting recruiters oversell the role. Be clear and professional, and don't call an interview "final" if it's not.

My interview with Jotform was great. The whole process from the first contact with recruiting to the actual interview was super organized and quick. The person who interviewed me knew their stuff, was nice, and made me feel relaxed the whole time. They explained the job and the company's goals really well, and you could tell they love what they do. I thought Jotform had a really good, team-oriented vibe and would definitely suggest it to other people.
