The interview process felt disorganized and all over the place. Something about it felt off and hollow, as if I was forcing myself to believe in a moment that lacked truth, depth, and emotional presence within me at the time.

After my interview, I was given a creative task to complete as “homework”. The person interviewing me asked for my email address via Indeed to share more details about this task. I send them my email address but no one responded or send me anything after that so I was confused as I thought the interview went well.

I applied online and got an email for an interview at the Philadelphia office. The interview process was pretty straightforward. They mentioned it was a group interview and asked us to dress professionally, though the staff weren't dressed that way. The first part was about 15 minutes where they talked about the company, busy seasons, and salary/benefits. Then, we had a 2-minute one-on-one where we had to answer 'why hire you' and 'why are you here' like an elevator pitch. The next part of the interview process was a bit unusual: they asked us to bring 20 friends to a bar on a Friday night. They said this was to test our organizational skills, and if we couldn't get friends to come out, maybe events wasn't the right field. I went through with it, got instructions via email, and my friends came. My friends spent over $400 that night. I waited for a call on Monday, but didn't get one. Since it was close to Halloween, a big event for them, I waited a bit longer. I then emailed the person who sent the interview info to follow up. I thanked them, mentioned my friends had fun, and asked about the next steps. I still haven't heard back, which is surprising and unprofessional, especially since it was a waste of my and my friends' time and money.

After arriving about 15 minutes early, the interview started late. It began with a group review, followed by one-on-one meetings. During the group session, Jon Gabel provided details about the company, the Event Manager role, work hours, and salary, and mentioned the upcoming one-on-one interviews. He spoke about the company with a lot of passion and detail. Since I'm moving from a demanding job to Joonbug, they were understanding and flexible with my schedule. They've hired me as an intern because this field is new to me, with a promotion to full-time Event Manager planned after 30 days.
