It was a straightforward, friendly, and quick process. It involved standard competency-based questions. There are interesting opportunities because of expansion. The process can vary depending on the role and level, but for this specific one, it was 1 stage plus a small task.

The interview process is a structured approach that organizations use to assess and hire the most suitable candidate for a job role. It typically begins with the application and resume screening stage, where HR or recruiters evaluate candidates based on qualifications, skills, and experience to shortlist potential matches. This is followed by an initial interview, often conducted over the phone or via video call, where basic information such as background, communication skills, and availability is assessed. Next comes the technical or functional interview, where candidates are tested on role-specific knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and real-world application of skills through coding tests, case studies, or project discussions. Following this, a managerial or HR interview takes place to evaluate the candidate's behavioral traits, cultural fit, career goals, and interpersonal skills through scenario-based or situational questions. In some cases, a final interview with senior leadership or a client may be conducted, especially for senior or critical roles. Once a candidate clears all rounds, the company extends a job offer outlining the role, salary, and other terms. After acceptance, background verification is carried out, and upon successful clearance, the onboarding process begins to integrate the candidate into the organization.

I applied online and got a call a few weeks later for a quick telephone interview. Then, I was invited for a store interview with the manager and another manager via video. It felt about right for an assistant manager role. I rated it neutral because they said I'd hear back in a few days, but I had to chase them up after weeks of silence. About a month later, I got an email saying I didn't get it. I'm not sure if I would have even heard back if I hadn't followed up, which is a bummer.

Two people from the buying team interviewed me. The interview was scheduled for over an hour, but they were late. They were nice and said they would get back to me, but I didn't get any feedback even after chasing them multiple times, which I found rude. I had to pay for my travel and take a day off for the interview. I also spent a lot of time on a project and store visits, and I suspect they stole my ideas. I contacted HR several times for feedback, but they never responded. HR is great at getting people to apply but then disappears. I won't apply to this company again.
