First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Johnson & Johnson Insurance.
Software Engineer
Went through a recruiter screen, then talked to the hiring manager. The recruiter was alright. The hiring manager was kind of a jerk and didn't seem to know what the job was actually about. The pay was also really low for where I am and what the job is. Felt like the job security wasn't great.
- Can you tell me about your background?
Junior Developer
I went through three interviews for this Junior Developer role. The first was with the HR manager, who was very friendly and approachable. We mostly discussed the job specifics and I shared a bit about myself and my background. The second interview was with the Development Manager. She also seemed nice and went into more detail about the day-to-day responsibilities of the position, asking about my relevant experiences. This one felt more like a casual chat. The final interview was a panel with a junior dev, a programmer, a senior developer, and the product manager. They asked me a lot of questions about my professional and academic history. It was a straightforward conversation to gauge fit, with no tricky or coding questions.
- Can you tell me about your SQL experience?
- What's your background with C# and Angular?
- Would you be comfortable in a fast-paced work setting?
Assistant Underwriter
Started with a recruiter call to screen candidates. Then a follow-up interview with HR over the phone. The third interview was with managers and some employees. It was pretty relaxed, nothing too out of the ordinary. Managers asked about me, my education, went over my resume, and wanted to hear about some situational examples. They seemed really focused on whether I'd be a good fit for the company culture.
- Can you share a time when you found a task challenging and explain how you resolved it?
- Tell me about an instance where you encountered difficulty with a task and the steps you took to overcome it.
Brand Activation Manager
So the process started with a headhunter call, then I had an interview with some Marketing and HR folks. After that, I met with the Head of Marketing and HR. Then there was a case study presentation which I did at their office in front of the Head of Marketing, my potential supervisor, and the Head of HR. Finally, I had an interview with the Country Manager.
- What's your approach to launching a new brand in the local market?
