Hiring Manager
It was tough because they asked a lot of questions on the job description and more so asked in regards of wanting to learn more about you as an individual and not just the other way around.
- What makes you prepared for this role?
Web Manager
First, I spoke with the hiring manager one-on-one. They told me about the job and asked me some questions. We finished the call with me asking them questions. Then, I had a second interview with a group of 5 people from the team. They introduced themselves and asked me 1-2 questions each about my experience.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a problem you didn't know how to solve and explain how you handled it?
Manager
I applied for a job and heard back about a week later. My first interview was on Zoom, and it went well. The hiring manager was nice and asked standard questions and talked about benefits. The next day, I was invited to two more interviews within a week with the team and leadership, also on Zoom. I sent thank you notes after all interviews, but didn't get a response. About a week after that, I followed up via email to see if I was still in consideration. I never heard back, not even to be told they went with someone else. As an HR person with years of experience, I think this is bad customer service. Even an automated message would have been okay. Lots of reviews mention high turnover and bad management here, so maybe my experience and others' point to a need for leadership to fix things.
- What are some standard, structurally based interview questions?
