I met with the hiring manager and then the operations director. After a few weeks of phone calls and emails, HR sent me the paperwork for a background check and drug test. About a week later, they told me the hiring team decided to go in a different direction. I think it might be because there was no public information about my family's house in the service area, and they didn't want to take a risk hiring me. The interview was average difficulty, but it took a really long time.

It was a nice experience overall. The second interview, however, was really nerve-wracking. The claims manager seemed to have made a decision then and there, mentioning that I was a good fit and even starting the paperwork. But then, three weeks after I followed up about my start date, she emailed to say they went with someone else. This was after I had already resigned and trained my replacement.

Met with 2 managers. They were nice. They focused a lot on how I handle conflict or difficult coworkers. They also wanted to know my 5-year plan. They had me write a sample letter to a doctor, acting as if I needed a patient's prior health status to compare to their current level of function.

The interview seemed pretty standard, with a mix of basic and behavioral questions. It lasted about 45 minutes. However, the overall vibe felt unwelcoming, and people didn't seem to have much personality, except for the receptionist who was smiling. The interviewer wasn't very open and didn't fully explain the job when I asked.
