First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Johnny Was.
Account Executive
Had a great interview experience. Learned a lot about the job itself instead of answering typical interview questions. They already know you can do the job from your resume, so it's more about checking if you're a good fit for the company and team.
- Will you attend all the required trade shows?
Influencer Manager
So, I got a message on Indeed from an HR person on Tuesday, Dec 22nd. She wanted me to email her to set up an interview. I did that same day and we scheduled it for Wed, Dec 23rd at 10 am PST. Then, on Tuesday, she emailed again, but called me the wrong name! She asked if we could push it to later on Wednesday, which I was cool with. We confirmed the new time. I was just waiting for her call on Wednesday, but... nothing. No call, no email. I even sent her a message asking if the time was still good. Crazy, I've never been ghosted before, but yeah, that happened.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Sales Stylist
Saw the hiring on Indeed.com, so I did a quick apply by sending my resume. Went in the next day just to show my face and the staff was EXTREMELY friendly and sweet. Heard back within the week and the interview was really short but not stressful. It was just me, the manager, and the assistant manager. They told me the next step was a try out where they bring you into the store for a few hours and watch how you do. After that they ask you to email your resume to them and they send it off to the district manager and if they approve you that's it.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself, doesn't have to be professional?

Digital Marketing Coordinator
The interview was at Johnnywas, which is a family business and located in an old manufactory. The manager was very friendly and open-minded. She gave me a clear background of Johnnywas and a clear job description for this position. I also presented my portfolio, so it's good to have one ready. The interview lasted about an hour. It was a very pleasant experience overall.
- Have you done email marketing before?
- Can you showcase your portfolio?
