Prep Cook/Dishwasher
The interview process at John's Incredible Pizza was not organized, and it felt lengthy, boring, and not welcoming. Initially, I was directed to a back hallway where I had to stand for about 30-45 minutes to complete a questionnaire on a kiosk, even though I had already submitted an application and resume. Following that, there was a group interview, a drug test, and a one-on-one interview, all taking place on the same day. We were seated in the dining area, in full view of other customers, throughout the entire process.
- Can you tell me about your weaknesses and what strategies you use to overcome them?

When I applied for Johns they started with two casual questions and then a math and english test. The test was pretty easy, 40 questions in under 20 minutes, I'd suggest using a calculator. After that, a simple, untimed personality test. Johns emailed me about 5 minutes later to schedule an interview, asking me to arrive 10 minutes early. At the interview, other people in their early 20s were there too, and I'm only 16. We signed in, and they called us up one by one. They asked basic questions like how you handle difficult customers or coworkers, your good and bad points with tasks, and any accomplishments you're proud of. I had two interviews with different people the same day. Then, we did some personality quizzes on a computer, mostly about fighting and drug use. Shortly after, they did a saliva drug test. They gave me a checklist for orientation (food handlers card, work permit, all black clothes) and said they'd call with the orientation date over the weekend after approving the drug test and background check. They called last week, and I have orientation soon. It was an easy process, and I'm excited to start!

Party Host
I applied online and right after got an email to set up an interview. I went in the next day. The interview was pretty standard and not difficult. A manager checked in on me before the interview while I was waiting. My interviewer sat with me at a dining table to start the interview. They said they liked my answers but they had no openings and would contact me if something came up. I don't think I got the job.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated honesty?
- What's something your friends would describe about you?

Applying online was simple, and the interview itself was in a private room with just one interviewer. They asked some easy questions. I also had to do a drug test using a saliva sample. The whole thing took about two months from when I applied in July until orientation in September. It was a straightforward process, just took a long time.
- What makes you want to be employed at John's Incredible Pizza?
- Which school subject do you like the most?
