First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at John Perez Graphics & Design.
Assistant
The interview took about 3 hours. First, there was an aptitude test, you need to get at least 80% to continue. After that, you might talk to his wife too.
- On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your common sense?
- How frequently do you find yourself arriving late?
Project Manager
Before they share any info about the company or the job, the employer wants to dig deep into your background. Be warned, the workplace and culture described might be quite different from the reality. Make sure you ask to see all the paperwork you'll need to sign if you get an offer. It's crucial to inquire about the office rules, as you could be fired for using your phone during the day or talking too much. Also, get all the details on the very strict non-compete agreement. Definitely ask for the specifics on benefits. I was told they were 'the same as any other company except for a 401k,' which is not true. You get zero vacation or sick days for the first year. After one year, you only get one week of vacation, no sick time ever. They only cover half of your medical insurance and there's no dental. Get everything in writing before you accept any offer from this place.
- What kind of car do you drive?
- Are you married?
- Do you have kids?
Executive Assistant
The interview was very in depth, the interviewer went into great detail about what he needed and expected so there were no surprises. The questions made me really think and made me feel like I was being asked things for very specific purposes which made me feel very proud when I got the position.
- What is your biggest weakness?
Research Analyst
The interview process was very thorough. I feel they really are looking for the A-team and do their due diligence to ensure their employees are highly qualified for the available position. I would say their values and standards are high to offer the very best to their clients.
- I was asked to demonstrate my skills on the spot and was given a task during the interview and was allowed whatever amount of time needed to complete it!
