It was great. We got invited to the staff area in John Lewis which was massive. This was for the Xmas Temp role. We did a group assessment in a room with 9 other people at least. We split into two groups of 4 or 5, and we had been set a task on how to approach a certain customer situation. We had to talk loud and clear for the assessors to hear us clearly and assess you on company values. My advice is, revise the values and apply it to the things you talk about, that will make you stand out as I was the ONLY one in my group that talked about the values. The assesors were really nice and warm, and I could kind of tell they were happy with my performance after I got smiles as I left the room. Even though it is a temp role, hopefully it can progress to a permanent position :) 2 days after I got an email saying I had passed the group interview with a job offer. Best of luck in your interview/group assessment. :)

It was a really chill interview process. We had a group interview where we talked about different parts of the store like catering, restocking, and customer service, focusing on a Christmas event. We did an icebreaker to learn names while two recruiters watched. I was a bit confused because there weren't any one-on-one interviews, but they said we could ask them anything at the end. They also gave us an availability sheet to fill out our times, mention if we are under or over 18, and tick boxes for roles we're interested in like catering, sales, or stock. There were two confidential questions and a section for personal details. I'm thinking of declining if I get an offer because there's a small chance of a permanent contract.

So, the interview was a group thing where we had to tackle a scenario together. It was pretty awkward at times, but I felt I did my part and paid attention to the others. I found out I didn't get it even before I got home! I asked for some pointers but they said they had too many people applying to give feedback. Apparently, I've been put on a candidate list though. I really want to know what went wrong so I can do better in my job search.
